1. She couldn't wait to take my ugly sweater after I won the contest. She tells me she received at least 5 complements later that night.
2. I made most of Christmas dinner. Lovely time with the fambam.
3. Post-Christmas shopping.
4. More gluttonous holiday food consumption. Adult beverages with the little (they're really not that little anymore, I think they're all taller than me now) cousins.
5. Peppermint macarons from Trader Joe's. I was actually disappointed.
6. Even more gluttonous holiday food consumption. I really wanted Happy Hour oysters, but it was so cold, we just had to order in.
7. All attempts to balance out our systems from said holiday food consumption were futile.
8. Chinese comfort food because the green juice just wasn't cutting it. I don't think we've recovered just yet.

Weekend Roundup, Vol. 10
1. First, there was Girls and Guy night at Sugar Lounge. Forgot what this beer is called, but it was reasonably priced. The best part was the free munchies during Happy Hour.
2. Philz Coffee to kick off my vacation. Instead of hot coffee on a very cold day, I ordered a Mint Mojito iced coffee. And it was good.
3. Awesome tasting and weird sounding dim sum with the fambam. I was really excited to order the goose intestines. And I ate it all.

4. We kickstarted Holiday Gluttony with this $5 beauty from Safeway. Not going to lie, it was a tough challenge, but we managed to finish it. In the span of a few days, of course.

Weekend Roundup, Vol. 9
1. I saved this really cute mid-week fortune.
2. I've actually held onto to this for a while because I couldn't find the right time to eat it. I think it's strawberry cheesecake flavored judging from the picture and taste.
3. It was a wonderful Friday after-work treat. D3 in a Purple Kow holiday cup.
4. In search of an ugly Christmas sweater.
5. Dim sum with the fambam. That's sea bass chow fun in the front.

Weekend Roundup, Vol. 8
I didn't do a very good job this week of using Instagram. Between work and "other work" drama, I just want to curl into a ball and sulk. I am lucky that R is my constant when times get rough.
I just realized all of this week's pictures are of food and drink.
1. Office party at Delancey Street Restaurant. I didn't take a picture of the food because it wasn't very memorable anyway. One of my coworkers bought me a Hef, I couldn't believe it cost only $2.50.
2. Paella from Zarzuela. I've lived in our neighborhood for 3+ years, but have only been to Zarzuela twice. I like tapas, I just find ordering very overwhelming.
3. This was 10 minute Cobb salad. I'm proud to say it was a team effort.
4. Bad news wine.

Weekend Roundup, Vol. 7
1. Is it sad that this is how most of my breakfasts look like at work? I usually have oatmeal, but I just didn't have time to pick some up this week.
3. Breaking out the wine stash because I've been cooking a lot.
4. Saturday night dinner. I was really proud of this one. First, I rubbed the chicken with Spanish salt we bought in Canada. Then I used the gizzards and some vegetables to make a stock to baste it with. While it sat in a bag to marinate in the stock, I stuffed its cavity with lemon, onions and carrots. I'm happy to report that the entire chicken was finished. I also made brussel sprouts with mushrooms and pancetta. The bread was more of a carb-filler if anyone was still hungry.
5. R complained of a sore throat, so I took the opportunity to make some chicken noodle soup. I used the leftover chicken carcass from above to make the soup stock with carrots, onions, and celery. Since I only needed half of what I made, I froze the rest.
